Some Kristen Stewart Sneakers

Some Kristen Stewart Sneakers

Frye shoes / Converse / Keds ® shoes, $48 / Converse sneaker / Converse sneaker, $69 / Canvas Authentic / Womens Nike Starlet Saddle Cvs

Lately I have been really into Kristen Stewart's original comfy, casual style. She used to wear sneakers just about all the time but recently since scoring a job with Balenciaga she has obviously been wearing a lot of their clothes (which I will be having a sneaky look at when I go to Barneys in New York soon!) and looking a lot more 'high fashion' and less casual.

To feed my little obsession lately I have put together this little collection of some of the shoes I have seen her wearing the most. I have had the black Converse high tops since I was 14 and have just started wearing them again recently as I try some of my 'K-Stew' inspired outfits. I have never owned a pair of the low-tops so might have to grab a red and white pair on my travels coming up. Not sure if the Nikes are exactly the same as hers but they are very similar. She has a pair of blue Vans but apparently they are a limited release from 1996 and very hard to get hold of so I posted a similar pair in my collage. I like these black keds even if they do look very basic and simple. I have probably already mentioned that the Frye Kira sneakers are on my definite shopping list. I will be getting a pair of low tops in grey and high tops in black (just like Kristen haha!).

Which celebrity styles do you look to for fashion inspiration? Are you like me and do you like to hunt for exact matches?

Wildfox Couture black boatneck sweater
matchesfashion.com

I love this sweater! If I didn't already have two printed white Wildfox jumpers I would have bought this one in an instant, its so cute! It's nearly summer here in Australia too so I would hardly get to wear it :-(

Furry vest
$645 - veryeickhoff.com

I have been seeing a lot of fur vests here and there lately and I like the look. Again, very much a winter item and my timing is terrible but I will perhaps be keeping an eye out for one of these during my upcoming travels.

Frye
$160 - farfetch.com

After my recent FRYE boots purchase I have really gotten into the brand and now have an eye for these kira sneakers. I want the high-top version though but I couldn't find a pic of them in black so here are the low tops. Cute too I think! Very Kristen Stewart too, who I like to channel in my style choices.

True Religion Brand Jeans 'Western Horseshoe' Baseball Cap
nordstrom.com

I see these hats all the time and can't wait to bag myself one when I visit the states!

Face care
lushusa.com

I have been meaning to grab a face mask from lush for quite some time now but I can never decide which one to try first, they all look so delicious!

What have you been lusting over lately?

MY NEW FRYE BOOTS! (warning, lots of pics)

I had recently been looking around for a new pair of military style lace up boots. There were many that I nearly bought but for one reason or another just didn't make the cut. I was having a browse on my favourite shopping website revolveclothing.com and saw that the Frye Engineer 8R boot in black was one of their very top sellers. Looking at the pictures on the site I didn't think much of these boots to start with until I had a quick squizz on google images to see tons of celebrities and fashion bloggers alike wearing these boots. I became hooked. I could see so many different ways of wearing these shoes and I loved all of the different styles. They looked so amazing and versatile when worn as  opposed to looking a bit plain and boring on the revolve website.

I am a bit of a sucker for buying 'the exact thing' I see a celebrity wearing, so when I saw the likes of Keira Knightley, Miley Cyrus and Minka Kelly wearing them it only made me want them even more! I got them in the mail soon after ordering them and have been wearing them every day since! I can't get enough of them they are amazing! I only hope it won't be too hot to wear them with shorts as summer approaches here in Australia but still, they are going to be PERFECT for my trip overseas coming up in December. But enough of my raving for now, here are some pics. Enjoy looking at my boots modelled by me in my purple galaxy leggings from blackmilkclothing and have fun thinking about all the weird and wonderful positions I had to twist myself into taking these photos haha!

the white stuff you see in these couple of photos is just the really old carpet coming off onto my boots. I brushed it off and it was fine

These complete the look of wearing leggings and an oversized tee/sweater and look really badass too. They also look fantastic with a range of dresses. I have worn them with skimpy tight clubbing dresses as well as cute flowing spring dresses. They have heaps of room around the leg so you can fit them over your jeans too. They look amazing paired up with jeans and a leather jacket!

Because these boots are so popular they go in and out of stock all the time but revolve seems to keep good stock of them. I got mine for $215 which isn't super cheap but these boots are built to last through the ages with super sturdy oil resistant leather.

My feet fit in shoes anywhere between an Aussie 8-9. 8 usually fits, sometimes 8.5 and if its a really tight shoe for some reason I will go for a 9 but then the shoe will always have plenty of room. I can squeeze my feet into a 7 if there are no other sizes available and I am desperate for the shoe. I ordered these in a size 8 (Aus and US womens shoe sizes are the same) and they fit perfectly. Not to tight, not too loose. Initially I found them a little hard to get on, as I had to get used to the way my foot would slide and then 'pop' into the bottom bit of the boot. I found there was a little bit of tightness around the arches of my feet but this has gone away as I have worn the boots in more. If you are worried about the sizing being too small then get a half size up. I think that doing that the only problem you MIGHT have would be a little bit of extra room around the heel but they're not going to fall off either way because of the style.

I now have my sights set on the Kira High Top sneaker after seeing Kristen Stewart wearing them here and there (as much as she is criticised for having little facial expression, I love her hair and style!). I have a bit more research to do and a bit more saving before buying them though!

What do you think of my Frye boots? What are your favourite shoes right now? Do you have boots similar to these and are just as infatuated with them as me?

Wildfox Couture knit sweater
shopthetrendboutique.com

Had my eyes on this one for aaagess but have never been able to justify the price-tag and I have a few similar black jumpers that I can wear to make the look of this one but I still like it!

Printed legging
blackmilkclothing.com

I wouldn't wear these leggings with the jumper, they just happen to be on my watch list. I love blackmilk leggings and these ones look pretty funky to me!

Pastry flat shoes
$89 - welikefashion.com

I am really liking the look of these wedge sneakers and hi-top shoes that I have been seeing around on a lot of fashion blogs lately. Still having a look around for a pair that I want to buy for myself.

Mac cosmetic
maccosmetics.com

On my list to buy in America because it is too expensive here in Australia. Florabundance seems like a great pinky nude shade to pair up with dramatic eye looks.

Lip gloss
bloomingdales.com

Another great lip-gloss shade that I have tried in the shops and am waiting to purchase cheaper when over-seas. Gosh, I am doing so well at saving up and not being so impulsive this month!

Body moisturizer
$235 - johnlewis.com

Have heard great things about the formula of the La Mer skin care range. For the body moisturiser you get a massive pot (and a massive price-tag to go along with it!). This one may have to wait until summer when I actually start showing off my freshly moisturised legs!

And yes, I want a puppy. That is why there is a lovely little Basset-Hound sitting in my wish-list. Puppies are probably going to make a regular appearance in my wish-lists as I never had the idea that polyvore would let me add things like that haha!

Leather jacket
$570 - stylepaste.com

I have been looking around trying to find a leather jacket that I like without a hood. I stumbled across the brand Muubaa and have figured out they are more or less the way to go. I would prefer a faux leather jacket to save money and animals as long as it doesn't look terrible. A leather jacket is definitely going to be on my shopping list when I go overseas at the end of the year.

Dr. Martens lace up boots
infinityshoes.com

Love the look of this classic, high quality boot!

Smashbox eyeshadow
$67 - meccacosmetica.com.au

Started playing with this palette in Kit cosmetics and was hooked by the range of colours as well as the amazing pigment in all of them! My imagination went wild but unfortunately my budget does not allow for yet another eyeshadow palette at the moment.

Smashbox makeup primer
nordstrom.com

Have heard a lot about this primer and obtained a sample recently. It is great! It is so light, soft and easy to spread over your skin! Quite pricey in Aus so will wait until I do another online make-up haul to grab this one.

Korres face care
sephora.com

Not available in Aus yet but I hope it will be soon! This stuff sounds great and I have been wanting to try something with VitC in it and experience the so called tinglyness it creates on your face as you leave it on.

Smashbox beauty product
nordstrom.com

These glosses were so pretty and sparkly when I tried them! Only problem is I have enough lippies to keep me going at the moment so these ones will have to wait too. I hope they don't sell out in the mean time!

I have seen sooo many celebrities wearing this Louis Vuitton scarf and it always looks fantastic! So of course I want one for my own. I don't even want to mention the price tag for one of these as it might give some people a stroke but I have been keeping a watch on what has been going on ebay with these and maybe one day I will be able to snag a pre-loved one at the right price for me.

What have you been 'hunting' recently and have not yet captured?

NARS Cosmetics blush
$28 - nordstrom.com

Too faced cosmetic
£36 - nelly.com

Makeup
€17 - sephora.fr

NARS Cosmetics makeup brush
$52 - bloomingdales.com

Lancôme eyeliner
$30 - lancome-usa.com

Stila beauty product
$38 - macys.com

Clinique beauty product
$37 - lordandtaylor.com

Forever Youth Liberator Serum 30ml
£60 - debenhams.com

Here are a few things I have been keeping my eyes on but haven't been able to bring myself to purchase (yet!) for one reason or another (mainly money). I am still waiting for my NARS order from kissandmakeupny.com where I ordered a blush in 'Gina', but I am still wanting to try 'Orgasm' because just about every blog I look at raves about it and I feel left out without it. I will probably get it this coming Saturday as I am going into Mecca for an event where I get to spend $50 on whatever NARS product I want after my makeover.

I love the Too Faced natural at night palette but can't justify buying it as I already have the original natural eye palette... I will just have to wait for another Too Faced palette that is completely different to anything I have.

Urban Decay Primer Potions - I only have a tester tube that I got as a gift with another order. I used it up very quickly (duh!) but these are hard to get a hold of in Australia so I am waiting for my next big online haul or perhaps when I go to Canada and NY at the end of the year this will need to be on my shopping list.

I bought a NARS brush in previously mentioned order that I suspect will be arriving tomorrow or the day after and nearly bought this one too but it is not cheapies and I am trying to be good and save my money so this one missed out for now...

Lancome Artliner - Love the way it looks and seems to glide on effortlessly in every youtube tutorial I watch, but, too expensive and too many cheaper alternatives.

The Clinique and Stila BB creams are two that I want to try. I will probably go for the Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector as it is very cheap and seems like a good one to try as a first BB cream to go for. I have read that the Clinique one provides a lot of coverage which is something I would go for as my skin is really acne prone and a bit scarred from my teenage years. I might get it this Saturday when I go shopping depending on how much I can save during the week. The stila one seems to be a bit different to most the rest as it offers a range of benefits but does NOT have an SPF protection as it is built especially to make your skin look good being photographed. Many creams with sunscreen in them will make your skin look shiny or oily in a photo. Not sure if Mecca stocks this one or not but I know it will be a long time before I try this one (if ever) as it is quite pricey and again there are a lot of good alternatives that I can go for.

Forever Youth Liberator Serum - Woooo! I think you would be lying if you had heard of this and said you didn't want to try it. This is going straight into my daily skin care routine as soon as my current 'age defence' cream runs out. I have a friend who works an a department store that sells this who can get me 'special price' haha so yes this one is just a matter of time.

Another web/blog/vlog famous item, the coastal scents 88 palette. So many different options to try, looks to create (and re-create from tutorials). It isn't too expensive, just hasn't found its way into any of my online shopping carts. I think it will one day because it just looks like so much fun to use!

Stay tuned for the arrival of my NARS haul from kissandmakeup! I have been working lots of overtime hours to make up for the purchase...
